## 1. Akupanel 240 - Wall mounting with adhesive

### Preparation
#### Step 1: Prepare the wall
1. **Clean the wall thoroughly:**
- Wipe the wall with a clean, dry cloth.
- Remove dust, dirt, and grease.
- Ensure the wall is completely dry.
2. **Remove obstacles:**
- Remove screws, nails, and other protrusions.
- Sockets and switches must be flush with the wall.
- The wall must be completely level for optimal adhesion.
3. **Check wall condition:**
- The wall must be solid and stable.
- Adhesive will NOT bond well to:
* Freshly painted walls (wait at least 4 weeks)
* Wet or damp surfaces
* Loose or peeling paint

**Recommended screws:** 15 black drywall screws (30mm) per panel.
### Steps
1. **Position the panel:** Hold the panel against the wall (use a helper if possible).
2. **Secure with screws:** ALWAYS screw through the black felt, NEVER through the wood slats.
3. **Screw pattern:** Use 15 screws per panel, distributed evenly in 3 rows of 5.
4. **Depth:** Screw until the head is flush with the felt. Do not over-tighten.

## 3. Akupanel 240 - Ceiling mounting
**WARNING:** Ceiling mounting requires screws. NEVER use adhesive alone for ceilings due to safety risks.

## 8. CREATE Shelves - Installation
**Mounting:**
1. Insert "Dupps" brackets into the felt between slats.
2. Screw the Dupps into the wall through the felt.
3. Click the shelf onto the Dupps.

## 9. CREATE Hooks - Installation
Follow the same procedure as shelves. Standard Dupps hold up to 5 kg; Heavy Dupps hold up to 10 kg.

## 10. LED lighting - Integration
**Lumi LED:**
1. Plan cable routing behind panels.
2. Fix LED profiles in the channels between slats.
3. Connect to the power supply and test before final panel mounting.

## 11. Cutting and customisation
**Tools:**
- Wood/MDF: Circular saw or fine-toothed handsaw.
- Felt: Sharp craft knife.
**Height Adjustment:**
After sawing through slats and felt, you MUST secure each slat from the back using 15mm screws through the felt.

## 12. Troubleshooting and common problems
### Adhesive issues
- **Panel falling down:** Usually due to too little adhesive or a dusty wall. Clean and re-apply (min. ½ tube).
- **Visible glue:** Wipe away immediately with a damp cloth.
### Screw issues
- **Screws loosening:** Wall is too soft. Use wall plugs or find studs.
- **Visible screw heads:** Screwed into slats instead of felt. Always screw into the black felt.
### Acoustics
- **Echo remains:** Not enough surface area covered. Aim for 25-30% coverage of the room's wall/ceiling area.
