After two semesters at WNMU, though, a new position teaching at a community college in Tennessee sent him in a new direction. “They offered free tuition at an in-state school, so I left and went to the University of Memphis, and I completed my doctorate of liberal studies there,” said Rummell.

- [Great Race 59: Men’s Volleyball Game](https://wnmu.edu/events/great-race-59-mens-volleyball-game-2/): After the ladies compete for the gold, they turn it over to the men. In this next challenge, teams must get their best guys together for a men's volleyball game. Watch them compete on Wednesday, April 15th at 3PM on Drag's Court in the PE Complex.
- [Great Race 59: PowderPuff Flag Football Game](https://wnmu.edu/events/great-race-59-powderpuff-flag-football-game-2/): Ladies come front and center! In this nail-biting event, women on each team will compete in a single elimination flag football tournament. Come watch these strong ladies compete on Wednesday, April 15th at 1oAM at the WNMU football field.
- [Great Race 59: Chopped Cooking Challenge](https://wnmu.edu/events/great-race-59-chopped-cooking-challenge-2/): In this event, teams must use surprise ingredients to cook our judges an amazing dish. They will have a preset time limit and will be judged on different qualities of their dish. Tune in on Monday, April 13th at 2PM on the pool patio.
- [Great Race 59: Chalk Art Challenge](https://wnmu.edu/events/great-race-59-chalk-art-challenge-2/): In this event, each team will be required to create a work of art with chalk! They must also include some surprise elements into their artwork. Check these teams out on Monday, April 13th at 10AM at Regent's Square.
- [Great Race 59: Pit Stop Challenge](https://wnmu.edu/events/great-race-59-pit-stop-challenge/): In this challenge, teams will simulate the pit stops that are outlined in the big race. This timed challenge will be held on Friday, April 17th at 10AM at Old James Stadium.

Well now you know! Teams will gather cans all week and turn them all in to the food pantry on Friday, April 17th by 5PM.
- [Great Race 59: Door Decorating Contest](https://wnmu.edu/events/great-race-59-door-decorating-contest/): During this week, we also like to have some fun with the staff on campus. In this contest, different departments across campus will enter in a door decorating competition. Judges will go around to each one and vote on their favorite!

In this event, teams must race up Cardiac Hill for the fastest time. P.S. they call it Cardiac Hill for a reason! Come by and watch the action on Thursday, April 16th at 10AM at Cardiac Hill just outside Centennial Hall.

These items are spread throughout campus and even in the community! You'll be able to see team members running and searching around on Tuesday, April 14th at 10AM.
