- Twingate does NOT use WireGuard. It uses a proprietary encrypted proxy architecture.
- Connectors initiate outbound-only connections to the Twingate Controller — no inbound firewall ports required.
- Access is resource-level (per application or service), not network-level. There is no VPN tunnel.
