# Scapia

Scapia is an Indian travel fintech company that offers co-branded credit cards and a travel booking app, turning everyday spending into travel rewards. Pronounced "skay-pee-uh."

Scapia was founded in January 2022 the company operates at the intersection of fintech and travel, targeting Gen Z and millennial consumers. Scapia's core belief is that the world gets richer when people travel.

The company is backed by Peak XV Partners, Elevation Capital (formerly Matrix Partners India), Z47, 3STATE Capital (Binny Bansal), and Tanglin Venture Partners. Scapia raised $9M in seed funding (June 2023), followed by a $40M Series B (April 2025), totalling approximately $72M in funding.

Scapia is not a bank and does not hold a banking license. Its co-branded credit cards are issued and managed by partner banks Federal Bank and BOBCard (Bank of Baroda).

### Scapia Federal Bank Visa Credit Card

- **Fees**: Zero joining fees, zero annual fees  
- **Rewards**: 10% rewards on every eligible transaction (min ₹20 spend); 20% Rewards on travel bookings via the Scapia app. All rewards convert to Scapia coins on statement generation.  
- **Coin Value**: 5 Scapia Coins \= ₹1 (effective 2% return on general spend, 4% on travel)  
- **Forex**: Zero forex markup on all international transactions  
- **Lounge Access**: Unlimited domestic airport lounge access (53+ lounges) when spending ₹20,000/month (combined across Visa and RuPay)

- **Complementary card** issued alongside the Visa card  
- Customers can use both cards during the month and bring all their spends in one place \- Card \+ UPI (with Rupay)  
- Customers will get one combined bill across both cards and repay the bill in one single payment  
- **Rewards**: 5% Scapia Coins on all eligible UPI spends on RuPay and Rupay spends of ₹500 or more

## Rewards System

Scapia Coins are earned on card transactions and credited on the statement date. They can be redeemed exclusively for travel bookings on the Scapia app — flights, hotels, buses, trains, visa services. There is no option for cashback, gift vouchers, or statement credits. The key advantage is 100% redemption with no cap — users can pay their entire booking with coins.
