# Mailvelope

> Open-source browser extension for PGP email encryption. Adds end-to-end encryption to webmail services like Gmail, Outlook, and others. Available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

Mailvelope encrypts and decrypts emails directly in the browser using the OpenPGP standard. Private keys never leave the user's computer. Neither the email provider nor Mailvelope can read encrypted messages.
