# Intro to Glif
**What is Glif?**
Glif has the cutting-edge AI text, image, audio, and video models that you need, all in one place. Think Kling, Veo, Seedance, and dozens more. Just describe what you want and let the Glif agent handle the rest.
Glif is designed with professional creatives in mind. The Glif agent supports multi-modal inputs and outputs, with an extensive and ever-growing list of built-in AI tools. Instead of building workflows, you just talk to Glif. It figures out which tools to use, chains them together, and produces rich media, all in one conversation.
# General FAQs
Frequently asked questions about Glif.
**What happened to workflows?**
On March 24, 2026, we relaunched Glif. The old Glif was a multi-agent workflow platform — you'd wire up bots, create node-based spell graphs, and orchestrate complex multi-step automations. It was powerful, but it was also complex and hard to get started with.
The new Glif is simpler and more capable at the same time: one AI agent with access to 100+ native tools, all through a single chat interface.
**How do I export my old workflows?**
If you'd like to export your content created prior to our relaunch on March 24, 2026, head to your [user Settings ](https://glif.app/settings)and chose the Export option for workflows. You'll also find export options for older agents, chats, and media. (Note: If you run into an error with that process, it may be because your file is too big. Please [contact us](https://glif.app/contact) and we'll sort you out!)
**Which specific models does the Glif agent support?**
Glif is always adding new cutting-edge models. [Check out our models directory for the latest list.](https://glif.app/models) Here’s a list of some of the popular models we currently support:

* Claude Sonnet 4.5
* Claude Opus 4.1
* ChatGPT 4o

* Nano Banana Pro
* Flux 2 Turbo
* Seedream V4
Video
* Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro
* VEO 3.1
* Hailuo 2.3

**Other**
* FFmpeg
* Web search
**What kind of media can I create with the agent?**
Check out [our Use Cases page](https://glif.app/use-cases) to see all that you can do with Glif. Here are just a few examples:
* Short form videos: Full end-to-end video production. Write scripts, generate images, animate them into video clips, add voiceover, background music, and stitch everything into a final video ready for social.
* YouTube thumbnails: Eye-catching, click-worthy thumbnails with bold text, dramatic visuals, and proper composition to boost traffic and subs.
* Slides: Presentation slides with strong visual design and animated transitions — great for pitches, explainers, or social content.
* Image editing: Remove objects, change colors, swap backgrounds, add text, style transfer, upscaling, you name it.
* Audio: Custom music or voiceovers with a wide range of voices and sound effects.
* Internet search: Search the web and scrape pages to pull in real-world information, news, references, or inspiration for any project.
**What types of media inputs does Glif support?**
The Glif agent supports text, image, video, and audio. You can upload files from your device or reference previously generated content either through the “Choose from library” option or the @ command shortcut.
**How do I find a list of my previously generated assets?**
Click on the Library icon on the lefthand side to find the assets you previously generated.
**How long does it take to generate an output?**
The time it takes for Glif to generate an output varies by the models being used and the complexity of the request. Videos and multi-image outputs will take significantly longer than simple text or image outputs. In general, you can expect an image output to take less than 30 seconds. More complex video outputs may take 1-5 minutes.
**How do I search my chat history?**
Click on the search icon on the lefthand side of the page to search through your past chat history.
**What shortcuts are available?**
Use the @ command to find and reference an asset you’ve generated in the past.
**How do I view what’s stored in the agent’s memory about our chat sessions?**
Currently, the best way to know what is currently stored in the agent’s memory is to ask it directly.
**Does Glif have an API?**
No, we no longer offer an API. The API was deprecated as of 5/20/26.
**Can I invite another user to collaborate with me on Glif?**
We don’t currently offer group or multi-user accounts, but we are considering it for a future update!
## **Content Moderation**
**What are your content moderation policies?**
You can find our complete content moderation policies here.
**How do I appeal a ban?**
You can appeal an account ban by emailing <appeals@glif.xyz> with your username and a summary of why you believe your content was not in violation of [our Community Guidelines.](https://docs.glif.app/policies/community-guidelines)
## **Copyright, commercial use, and attribution**
**Can I use the content I generated with Glif commercially?**
Yes. Purchasing credits (via subscription or credit packs) unlocks commercial usage rights for the content you generate on Glif, subject to the underlying model licenses.
**How should I attribute an image?**
Please note that Glif cannot provide you with legal counsel or advice. Each individual model has its own attribution guidelines, which are determined by the company or organization that created the model. Please refer to the terms of service or usage guidelines created by the company behind the model you are using.
**Where can I find the Glif logo and brand colors?**
You can find all of our latest Glif brand assets [here](https://glif.app/brand).
# Credits and Payments
Help with Glif credits and payments.
**What are credits and how do they work?**
Credits are the currency you use when interacting with agents on Glif. Each generation costs a certain number of credits depending on which AI models it uses. More complex tool calls that use expensive models cost more credits than simpler ones.
**How much do credits cost?**
You can find complete details about the costs of Glif subscriptions [on our pricing page.](https://glif.app/pricing)
**How do I know how much a generation will cost before the agent generates something?**
The agent will notify you of the cost of a generation and request approval before generating content for you. If you do not see this behavior and believe you have been charged without giving permission to the agent, please contact our Support team at <contact@glif.xyz>.
**Why did the credit estimate differ from the final credit cost?**
For many tools, Glif can't know the final cost of a run until it is completed, as a number of factors are involved in this process. Our credit estimates will always err on the higher side to prevent any unpleasant surprises.
**Where can I see my current credit balance?**
You’ll see a progress bar indicating your current credit usage and balance in the bottom lefthand corner, beneath your username.
**How do I view my credit history?**
You can view your credit history under the [Usage section](https://preview.glif.app/settings/usage) of account Settings.
**How do I purchase more credits?**
You can learn more about our plans and purchase credits [on our pricing page.](https://glif.app/pricing)
**How do I view and manage my subscription?**
You can view and manage details about your subscription in the [Billing section](https://preview.glif.app/settings/billing) of account Settings.
**Do my credits expire?**
Yes. Credits that are purchased via a subscription reset each billing cycle. Free credits reset daily. Unused credits do not roll over. Credit pack balances expire after six months.
**How do I cancel my subscription?**
You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. Your subscription benefits will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancellation.
**How do I contact Glif for an enterprise level pricing quote?**
Reach out to us with details about your project at <sales@glif.xyz>. We look forward to hearing from you!
**What happens to my credits if my run fails?**
If your run fails, your credits will be refunded. If you do not believe you have the correct amount of credits remaining in your account, please reach out to <contact@glif.xyz> with your Glif account details.
**When does the daily run limit reset?**
The daily run limit resets at midnight [UTC time.](https://time.is/UTC)
### Refunds
**The agent generated a piece of media that did not look how I expected. Can I get a refund for my used credits?**
In cases like these, we are not able to process a refund to your account. It is the nature of AI tools to have some unexpected initial results that require fine-tuning. Some trial and error may be required initially to get the precise output that you're looking for.
**I was a user of the previous workflow version of Glif. Can I get a refund of the credits I purchased prior to 3/24/26?**
While we'd love for you to try out the agent— which can do all that you did with old workflows and more— we are happy to refund old credits that you purchased prior to the Glif relaunch. Just reach out to <contact@glif.xyz> with your Glif username and we'll get you all set.
# Prompt Guide
**How do I create a good prompt?**
1. Be clear, detailed, and specific
The more complete and precise you are in your prompt, the more likely you are to receive an output that adheres to your creative vision.
2. Define subtasks
If you are working on a multi-step project, break up your request into discrete jobs to be done to help the agent stay on track.
3. Re-state goals during continued iterations
AI projects work best when approached iteratively, refining and updating the process over time with each new generation. As your project evolves, re-state your initial project goals and context.
**How can I specify which model the agent uses?**
Include the exact model you’d like to use in your prompt. You can also explicitly ask the agent to store your preferences in its memory.
**How do I reference a previous output in a new generation?**
Use the @ command or select an output from your Library.
**How do I efficiently change only one element of a generation?**
Specificity is key to receiving a desired output. Be as precise as possible about the elements of an existing generation that you want to change and also those that you want to stay the same. You can learn more in our Prompt Guide.
**Can I customize my agent’s personality?**
There are no specific personality settings, but you can prompt an agent to behave a specific way and ask it to store that behavior in its memory for consistency across sessions.
# Profile Settings
Set up your profile just how you like it.
H**ow do I change my profile image?**
Go to Settings and click on the pencil icon on the profile image to upload a new profile picture.
**How do I change my username?**
Go to Settings, edit the username, and click Save.
**How do I delete my account?**
You’ll find the option to delete your account at the bottom of [your Settings page.](https://preview.glif.app/settings)
# Troubleshooting
**How do I contact customer support?**
Reach out to our team at <contact@glif.xyz> or join us on Discord.
**The agent took an action without my permission that cost credits. Can I get a credit refund?**
Please contact our customer support team at <contact@glif.xyz> and include your username and a screenshot of the relevant portion of the chat.
**The agent didn’t follow my prompt closely enough. Can I get a credit refund?**
It is the nature of AI tools to have some unexpected initial results that require fine-tuning. Some trial and error may be required initially to get the precise output that you're looking for. In most cases where an output did not adhere closely to a prompt, it is not a bug with the platform itself, but a result of the underlying model. In those cases, we are not able to process a refund.
**The agent generated an image or video output in the wrong aspect ratio. Can I get a credit refund?**
Please contact our customer support team at <contact@glif.xyz> and include your username and a screenshot of the relevant portion of the chat.
**The agent did not respond to a prompt, and there was no error message. What do I do now?**
If you happen to run into this issue, completely restarting a chat session may resolve it.
If that does not work please contact our customer support team at <contact@glif.xyz> and include your username and a screenshot of the relevant portion of the chat.
**I keep receiving error messages**
Please contact our customer support team at <contact@glif.xyz> and include your username and a screenshot of the relevant portion of the chat.
**The agent told me one thing about the way that Glif works, but your documentation said something different.**
Like any AI service, the Glif agent may sometimes hallucinate, including providing incorrect details about its own capabilities or Glif’s policies related to refunds, support or content moderation. If you are uncertain, please contact our team of humans at <contact@glif.xyz>.
