## Credentials

**Certificates**: Ontario College certificates typically take one year to complete and are usually career-focused. Our Prep Programs are also Ontario College certificates that prepare you to pursue further education in an area of study.

**Diplomas**: Ontario College diplomas typically take two years to complete and combine in-class learning with hands-on experience to prepare you for a career.

**Advanced Diplomas**: Ontario College advanced diplomas usually take three years to complete and have up to three work terms to provide you with hands-on experience. Advanced diplomas provide specialized training at an advanced level. You can often progress from a diploma into the third year of an advanced diploma.

**Degrees**: An Ontario College degree typically requires four years to complete. You can progress from an advanced diploma to a degree. Our degrees are a blend of traditional theoretical knowledge and experiential learning, making our graduates uniquely skilled in their industry and ready for the workplace.

**Graduate Certificate**: Ontario College graduate certificates are credentials for students who already have a university or college degree or diploma. They provide practical experience to prepare you to enter the workforce.

**Continuing Education**: Fanshawe's Continuing Education programs provide opportunities to advance or retrain, offering a wide range of courses across various career fields.

**Micro-credentials**: Micro-credentials offer quick, bite-sized training with flexible scheduling, designed to fit into a busy schedule. You can stack micro-credentials together to demonstrate proficiency in a subject.
