Plans can be changed once per 60 days. ### Zero Plan — $0/month - 3 GB of data with typical 5G speeds - 100 minutes of voice (includes inbound calls, Wi-Fi calling, and voicemails) - 300 texts (includes group texts and messages to short codes) - No tethering/hotspot - Earn Cloud Points (10 pts/month) - Taxes and fees apply - Requires active cellular data usage each month to maintain service - Must use data over 5 total days to be eligible for referral program ### Air Plan — $15/month - 10 GB of high-speed data - Unlimited talk and text - 5 GB personal hotspot/tethering (counts toward the 10 GB data limit) - Scam Defense included - Earn Cloud Points (80 pts/month) - Additional data available via Data Boost ($7.50/GB) - Taxes and fees apply ### Infinity Plan — $30/month - Unlimited data (speeds may slow after 36 GB) - Unlimited talk and text - 36 GB personal hotspot/tethering - Scam Defense included - Earn Cloud Points (150 pts/month) - Taxes and fees apply ### Kids Plans Available through a Group Plan. The Group Administrator (must be 18+) manages the account. Kids plans feature parental oversight, no location tracking, no marketing emails to minors, and COPPA compliance. - **Sprout** — $5/month: 3 GB data, unlimited talk and text, parental oversight, Cloud Points (25 pts/month) - **Kids Air** — $15/month: 10 GB data, unlimited talk and text, parental oversight, Cloud Points (80 pts/month) - **Kids Infinity** — $30/month: Unlimited data, unlimited talk and text, parental oversight, Cloud Points (150 pts/month) Kids Plan setup: 1. Log into the Helium Mobile App as Group Administrator 2. Navigate to "Group Plans" and tap "Invite to Group" 3. Select a Kids Plan and enter an account email (must not belong to someone under 18) 4. Enter an emergency address for e911 services 5. Agree to Terms and Conditions on behalf of the child 6. The invited member signs up via email instructions using the Helium Mobile app Kids can earn Cloud Points but cannot redeem them — only the parent/guardian can redeem through the Cloud Store. Children on Kids Plans cannot participate in the referral program. ### Legacy Plans (Discontinued) The $5 Beta Plan and $20 Unlimited Plan are no longer available to new subscribers. Legacy subscribers had until January 27, 2026 to choose a new plan; those who didn't were auto-converted to the Air Plan ($15/month). Legacy plans cannot be reinstated after upgrade. Download the Helium Mobile app and read the introduction screens 2. Choose the plan that's best for you (Zero, Air, or Infinity) 3. Create your account — enter your email and set a password (at least 12 characters, must include a number, a special character, and mixed casing). Verify your email before proceeding. Zero Plan subscribers skip billing details at this step. 4. Complete Identity Verification (IDV) — provide basic info, a government-issued ID, and a selfie. This confirms you're not a bot and ensures one Zero Plan per customer. Handled by a third party; Helium Mobile does not store your ID. 5. Confirm and pay — agree to the legal terms (Privacy Notice, Terms & Conditions, Plan Terms, Acceptable Use Policy, Wallet Terms). Payment options: Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card. You must be 18 or older. 6. You're in! After receiving your confirmation email, set up your SIM via the app (choose eSIM or physical SIM, then activate). ### Choosing Your SIM - **eSIM**: Digital SIM downloaded directly to your device. Instant activation, no physical card needed. Cannot be rescanned if deleted. - **Physical SIM (pSIM)**: Traditional SIM card shipped to you. Works with any compatible device with a SIM tray. ### Activating Your SIM Follow the in-app instructions after choosing your SIM type. For eSIM, scan the QR code provided. For physical SIM, insert the card and follow the prompts. After activation, install the Wi-Fi Profile to connect to Helium Mobile hotspots. ### Phone Number Porting You can transfer your existing phone number to Helium Mobile. Have these ready: - Your phone number - The zip code associated with your old carrier (your e911/primary address) - Your old carrier's name - Your old carrier's account number (contact them if you're unsure) - Your number transfer PIN or carrier transfer passphrase (this is different from your account login PIN; your carrier may call it a "carrier transfer pin") Carrier-specific tips: - **AT&T**: Request your number transfer PIN by calling *PORT (*7678). You may receive a "Port Failed" initially — check for a confirmation text from AT&T, then contact Helium Mobile support to resubmit. - **Verizon**: Request your carrier transfer PIN by calling #PORT (#7678). - **Prepaid accounts**: You may need to call your carrier to get your account number. For AT&T Prepaid, call 800.901.9878. Your account PIN may serve as the number transfer PIN. - **Google Voice**: Unlock your number in Google Voice settings first (small fee may apply). Account number is typically your 10-digit phone number; transfer PIN is your voicemail PIN. If you already have a Helium Mobile account with a different number and want to port, contact support via the in-app chat. ### APN Settings If you experience connectivity issues, you may need to set your APN (Access Point Name). Apply to become an official Cloud Chaser with a personal code. ## Account Management ### Billing - Month-to-month billing, no long-term contracts - Billing cycle starts on the day you activate - First invoice may show "Free Trial" — this is normal for the initial billing period - A $1.00 hold may appear on your card during sign-up for payment verification (automatically released) - Taxes and fees calculated based on your emergency address ### Sign-In Options - Standard email/password login - Single Sign-On (SSO) available - Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) available for enhanced security - Account management at https://my.hellohelium.com/login ### Upgrading or Downgrading - Plans can be changed once per 60 days - Navigate to your account settings in the app to change plans - Legacy plans cannot be reinstated once you switch to a new plan ## Connectivity ### 5G To enable 5G on your device: - **iPhone**: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data > select "5G Auto" or "5G On" - **Android**: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network mode > select 5G option ### Voice and Data Usage - WiFi Calling counts toward your minutes (when phone shows "Wi-Fi Calling" as carrier name) - Inbound calls and voicemails count toward your minutes; however, listening to a voicemail does not count additional minutes - Minutes are rounded up — a 1 minute 4 second call counts as 2 minutes - Both sending and receiving texts count toward your text limit - MMS messages count toward both SMS and data limits - RCS messages count as data only and do NOT count toward your text limit - Tethering/hotspot data is included in your monthly data allotment (e.g., Air's 5 GB hotspot is part of the 10 GB total) - Helium Mobile Hotspot (Wi-Fi) usage DOES count toward your data limit (e.g., 10 GB used on a hotspot leaves 26 GB of high-speed data on the Infinity plan) ### SIM Management - eSIMs can only be scanned once — if deleted, they cannot be rescanned or reused - See the SIM Management and How to Switch Your SIM support articles for detailed guidance ## Troubleshooting ### Invalid Address During Sign-up If your address isn't accepted during sign-up, try using a slightly different format (e.g., abbreviate "Street" to "St"). The address is used for e911 services and tax calculation. ### Spam Calls Enable Scam Defense (Air and Infinity plans) to automatically label and optionally block suspicious calls. ### App Issues Keep the Helium Mobile app updated to the latest version. Check the App Releases article for version history and known issues. ## Policies ### Refund Policy The Refund Policy is in the Terms & Conditions (Section 12). Contact support@hellohelium.com for refund questions. ### Cancellation Policy You can cancel your plan at any time through your Helium Mobile account, the app, or by contacting support. Full cancellation policy is in the Terms & Conditions (Section 22). - If you cancel and request a number transfer: service continues until the number is successfully ported to another carrier. - If you cancel without a number transfer: service continues until the end of your billing cycle. - After cancellation, your login credentials and wallet remain accessible along with any funds they contain. - Phone numbers can usually be recovered within 59 days of deactivation. After that, the number is reallocated and cannot be recovered. ### Privacy - Kids Plans feature privacy-first design — no location tracking, no marketing emails to minors - Data security is a priority - Subscribers must be in the United States ### Network Management Helium Mobile may manage network traffic to ensure quality of service for all subscribers. Data speeds may be reduced after reaching plan thresholds (36 GB for Infinity, 28 GB for Legacy plans). ### Acceptable Use Service must be used for lawful, proper, and appropriate purposes. Helium Mobile reserves the right to review usage levels and terminate or adjust plans for violations. Prohibited activities include: auto-dialers, telemarketing, commercial solicitation, excessive call forwarding, resale of service, spam, bulk messaging, activities that hinder other customers' access or degrade network performance, and continuous streaming that abuses the network.
